Looks. Every mutation shows on the body: teeth and a maw, bone plates and horns, acid pustules, crystals of fire, ice and lightning, brood eggs and needles, extra eyes. An evolution is a big feature, a curse is dark veins and a red eye. The bigger the size, the larger the clot and the brighter its glow.

Branches. Mutations belong to seven branches: Maw, Shell, Fluidity, Acid, Elements, Swarm, Senses. Three mutations of one branch give the first tier and a nickname, five give the second; an evolution counts as three. At each tier the mutation window shows a golden card — the branch gift — instead of that window's mutation. The choice card shows where a mutation goes and which evolution it leads to.

Cursed mutations. From the second floor the mutation window may show an extra red card: a strong gift with a flaw — the tumor bursts, the core explodes and hurts, hunger eats health. Two cursed mutations of one pair make a cursed evolution — the gift stays, the flaws go.

The clot card is the C key or the clot icon in the top bar: the clot up close, size, stats, branches, mutation icons, organs and who it ate this run. The Evolutions tab lists recipes: unknown ones stay hidden until the evolution has been taken once.

The bestiary is on the title screen: an entry opens with the first one eaten; stars come at 1, 10 and 50 (bosses: 1, 3, 10). Each star gives vat memory; the third makes you a connoisseur, +10% damage to them from the next run. The bestiary and evolutions unlock skins, and seals of other games of the universe gift their own skins.
